Annales Universitatis Mariae Curie-Sklodowska, sectio M – Balcaniensis et Carpathiensis

Faculty of Political Science at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University launched a new publishing initiative in the form of scientific journal „Annales Universitatis Mariae Curie-Skłodowska” – „Sectio Balcaniensis et Carpathiensis”. We intend to issue two volumes a year. Our project is dedicated to the researchers on Central and Eastern Europe, perceived as a region which is not only located between Germany and Russia but also between the Seas: the Baltic Sea, the Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea. The mountain ranges– the Carpathian Mountains and the Balkans– determined, throughout the ages, the history of the region, the inhabitants and the states. Among the Balkans and the Carpathian there were territorial, social, economic and cultural changes. The changes caused that the lands between two mountains ranges became the historic centre of the region of Central and Eastern Europe. We invite the specialists from various scientific disciplines, mainly the researchers in the scope of humanities and social studies- historians, sociologists, political scientists, specialists in cultural studies and media experts. Scientific articles and reviews will be published in Polish, Russian, English, French and German. The editorial board chose the broad scope of the scientific journal- with only one limitation- the geographic criterion (Central and Eastern Europe).
