She specialises in the contrastive grammar of Polish and Czech, the language culture of Polish and Czech, the language of media and specialist translation. In her research, she studies journalistic texts, in which images of Poland as captured by the Czech media appear. Her interests also include mediolinguistics.

Her research interests include: children’s literature and literature for young people, the teaching of literature, eco-criticism. The author of the following books: Po lekcjach (2021), Reading (in) the Holocaust: Postmemory Practices in Recent Polish Literature for Children and Young Adults (2020), W(y)czytać Zagładę. Praktyki postpamięci w polskiej literaturze XXI wieku dla dzieci i młodzieży (2016), (Prze)Trwać w okolicach mitu. Funkcje mityzacji w poezji Tadeusza Nowaka (2007), as well as many scholarly papers. She has also co-edited publications concerning young readers’ literature. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the journal “Paidia i Literatura”, which carries papers on literature for children and young people.
