Agnieszka Mierzwińska-Hajnos, PhD, is a cognitive linguist and assistant professor in the Department of Applied Linguistics at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, Lublin, Poland. Her main research interests include conceptual blending theory, its mechanisms and application to the analysis of linguistic and non-linguistic phenomena as well as cognitive ethnolinguistics and multimodal studies of advertising, political discourse and music. She is a co-editor to the volume New Insights into the Language and Cognition Interface (2018) and the author of numerous papers on cognitive linguistics, multimodality and cognitive ethnolinguistics. She is also associate editor to Bibliography on Metaphor and Metonymy (John Benjamins) and editorial assistant to Language, Mind, Culture and Society (LaMiCuS), an international open-access online journal of the Polish Cognitive Linguistics Association.
