Justyna Wawrzyniuk is a Ph.D. candidate and lecturer at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Bialystok in Poland. Her research interests combine critical discourse analysis with cognitive linguistics while focusing on figurative language of media and popular culture. As a National Science Centre grant recipient, she investigates metaphorical conceptualisation of gender in Polish stand-up comedy discourse.
